Nat Hobson, entertains you from beginning to end with snappy dialogue, unique characters and by far charming men that have you wanting to learn more about them. The Winchester Brothers are by far well rounded and extremely entertaining, and I can’t wait to start reading the next installment in this series.

Ali Cross takes a spin off the Norse gods mythology, creating a new take bringing them into the modern era. Cross creates a beautiful world touched with deep darkness that brings out her strong characters.

The character building is empowering allowing each character to expand and change in negative or positive light. Cross is by far a master of fight scenes leaving you craving for the next blow, and gasping as you yourself feel the pain of the attacks. The heartache leaves you cringing hoping for the best, knowing a happy ending must be coming. 

But as all great authors do…they love to leave a twist at the end making you hunger for book two. I for one am strongly in love with Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythology. Cross’s take on the battles and victories Loki and Odin have are exciting to the core. 

If you are a strong lover of Percy Jackson and the Olympians you find yourself at home in this book. This novel is more for the new adult audiences bringing a more mature nature to the sins mankind face under Loki’s watchful eye. But I trust know matter what your age you will find enjoyment from “Become” the first in Ali Cross’s Desolation Series.

A rogue Lochspawn has tracked William to Jane’s small town, and William must make a choice. Preserve one of his last lives in order to save Jane’s frail existence? Or hoard his precious remaining lives and watch his future go up in flames?

97: The Warloch’s Pact captures you from page one. Zarastrid opens us up to the past creating the ground work for the future our main characters walk in. He shows his emotions in cold dark complexity, but even he is not above falling for a woman that is captivating as Agnes.

The events between Agnes and the Coven lead to the present story, which influences Jane and William. William is a warrior created through science experimentation and is being hunted.  Jane as far as she knows is a normal high school kid with a cooky friend name Crady that is a bit overwhelming at times. 

The relationships between the characters make this an intriguing read. Holt does a wonderful job tying the characters together through time as she jumps from past to present. You find yourself pulled between routing for Jane and William to Zesterid and his heart ache. 

Holt by far does a magnificent job bringing her debut novel into a class of its own. The character building and emotional turmoil leaves you craving for more. I am looking forward to when book two hits the stores.
